Butchery is something we are passionate about and take pride in. Satisfaction comes from not cutting corners in what we do.
Locally grown beef, pork and prime Mallee lamb is a great benefit we have over others as we do enjoy to argue the point strongly that we do grow the best livestock here in the mallee. Chicken is sourced from Hazeldene’s who provide a great reliable service delivering fresh three times per week.
Homemade smallgoods include Ham on bone, Boneless leg ham, Boneless lamb ham, hot cabana, mild cabana, hot cabana, chicken cabana, short cut bacon, saveloys, bacon bones and Strasbourg. Over the years at AMIC sausage king competitions for the North West region of Victoria we have picked up first place awards for our entered products in cabana, bacon and Strasbourg.
Our hamburgers are still arguably the best found anywhere by many. The long running secret recipe passed on for unknown years, long before we are aware of, is still being used with customers passing through town always ensuring they make the stop and stock up for themselves and others at the same time.
As well as retail we also supply wholesale. With licensed meat transport vehicles and licensed couriers available we not only supply locally but abroad.
The Spanish Bar and Grill in Mildura give us pride in being a supplier of the best steak in Australia.
Livestock manager Kevin Grayling is to credit for the consistent quality of our cuts. Having years of experience within the livestock industry he provides our business with an edge.

Nathan first started butchering in 1996 in Ouyen under Lenny’s Meat Supply. Completed a Certificate 3 in Butchery and Small Goods apprenticeship and continued working for a year before purchasing his first retail butcher shop in Sea Lake in 2001. Formally Kings Meat Supply, Nathan began trading as Grayling Quality Meats. In 2004 Grayling Quality Meats took over Pedlers Butchery in Red Cliffs and later combined the outlets to work together under the new banner of North West Butchers. In 2009 Nathan expanded again and took over from Munro’s Prime Mallee in Ouyen back where it all began. Later in 2010 the Red Cliffs business got sold.
